Debbie Mucarsel-Powell’s campaign is under fire after recent media reports uncovered her close connections to a Ukrainian militia leader, Ihor Kolomoisky, whose business employees have contributed thousands of dollars to her congressional campaign.

Her ties to the Ukrainian militia leader start with her husband, attorney Robert Powell, who was paid $700,000 to represent a firm owned by the “shady” Ukrainian oligarch, a man who has been accused of billion-dollar criminal schemes and contract killings.

In addition to her husband’s affiliations, employees of the businesses owned by the Ukranian militia leader have donated thousands to support Mucarsel-Powell’s congressional campaign.

Given the dangerous connections that Debbie Mucarsel-Powell and her husband have to a shady foreign oligarch, voters will have to decide whether Mucarsel-Powell is trustworthy enough for the people of southern Florida.
